Project Manager - Corporate Support

Description/Job Summary

This full-time position is based at our firm’s headquarters in Philadelphia. Essential job duties involve day-to-day interactions with corporate and senior leaders at the firm. This entry level consulting position provides a career path for future personal and professional growth at the firm.  This position will assist the Vice President of Business Development and the Managing Director of the National Practice to manage key strategic initiatives. This position will also work with key leaders in the firm, including members of the Corporate Management Team and the Management Team. National travel is required and is estimated at 25%. Minimum job qualifications are great interpersonal skills, 5 years business or government experience that involve the skill sets listed below, a bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities/Duties

General Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Full time consultants are expected to meet minimum monthly targets for hours worked. Consultants are expected to review periodic activity reports and work with the Vice President of Business Development to develop strategies to ensure expectations for targets are met. Sellers Dorsey consultants are expected to travel as needed to meet the needs of client servicing, marketing, and business development. Work may require occasional work availability on weekends and evenings.
  • This internal role focuses on project management, including scheduling, creating agendas, drafting necessary meeting materials, capturing salient points and next steps, distributing assignments to team members, tracking follow up items, and ensuring that deadlines and assignments are accomplished in a timely and complete manner.
  National Client Servicing Support Services
  • Provide project management support to internal initiatives within National Client Servicing to support knowledge management, training initiatives, and others as identified. Many of these are new initiatives that will require initial support to launch, including the identification of stakeholder needs and support processes.

Business Development

  • Provide project management support to maintain and analyze firm’s business development pipeline, ensuring its accuracy by collaborating with sales team, preparing sales reports for use by the sales team and corporate management, and providing regular analyses of the pipeline.
  • Provide project management support to the Sales Team by drafting sales team agendas, and materials. Assist in the scheduling of and attend all sales team meetings and calls.
  • Provide project management support to the Contracting Team, comprised of representatives from the legal, financial, and sales teams. This includes creating pipeline reports to help guide the discussion.
  • Provide project management to the conflict of interest clearance process, including assisting in the drafting of conflict of interest checks, scheduling internal calls to discuss potential conflicts of interest, and tracking when conflicts of interest checks have cleared.
  • Provide support to other members of the Marketing team, including working on proposals, conferences, sponsorships, and other select projects as needed and as requested.

Required Qualifications

Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of five years of professional work experience preferred.

  • While not required, experience in professional services consulting preferred, with Medicaid or other healthcare experience also preferred. Relevant experience supporting executive level projects preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation of ideas to drive action and results. The position requires frequent written communications and the creation of deliverables to senior-level individuals and throughout the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several complex projects at once. Ability to stay focused on long term goals.

  • Ability to analyze and track data.
  • Ability to manage a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.  Ability to interact with clients and other outside audiences professionally preferred
  • Ability to track the work of members of the Corporate Management Team and Managing Directors at the firm and be able to track and coordinate individuals with differing personality types.
  • Detail oriented, with experience organizing and coordinating the work of others. Previous project and task management experience is strongly desired.
  • The ability to work effectively and succeed independently or in teams.
  • Ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines. Time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required.
